Couple & Family Therapy
Real connection isn’t built through perfect communication — but through deeper understanding
In couples and families, pain doesn’t always show up as pain.
It often takes the form of distance, control, silence, irritation, or endless arguments about “nothing.” Beneath the surface, there are unmet needs, misunderstood intentions, and stories that were never fully heard.
This is not a place for quick tools or scripted exercises.
This is a space to slow down the cycle — and listen for what’s beneath it.
I help families and couples recognize the emotional patterns that silently guide their reactions, often rooted in past wounds, protective instincts, or long-standing roles. Through a trauma-informed, psychodynamic, emotionally-focused and existential lens, we explore:
What each person longs for, and how they express it (or hide it)
How cultural and personal histories shape what is allowed, feared, or avoided in a relationship
What it might mean to relate to one another as separate but emotionally connected individuals, not roles to be performed
Therapy is where these patterns come into view — not to assign blame, but to create a space where something new can begin: clarity, compassion, and the possibility of being in relationship differently.
Sessions are collaborative, reflective, and attuned to the emotional undercurrent of the relationship — not just the content of the conflict.
We will build trust carefully, respect each person’s voice, and move at a pace that allows for real shift to happen — not performance, but presence.
Couples feeling stuck in emotional distance, criticism, or repetitive conflict
Parents and teens navigating emotional disconnection or unspoken tension
Families managing cultural or generational rifts
Partners unsure whether to stay or separate — but open to exploration
Adult siblings or parent-child dyads wanting to repair years of hurt or misunderstanding
Relationship counselling is about:
Uncovering emotional blocks
Discovering relationship patterns
Rebuilding the bond
Discovering who you are outside of a relationship
Being confident about yourself and engaged with partner
Couple & Family Therapy
Therapy won’t offer a perfect script for love or harmony.
But it can offer something more meaningful: the ability to stay open, curious, and connected — even when it’s hard.
