This is not a service. This is a process
Therapy with me is not linear. It’s human. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes intense. Always meaningful.
It’s not about who you should be. It’s about becoming more fully who you already are — with clarity, permission, and depth.
If that’s the kind of work you’re seeking, I’d be honoured to begin with you.
Anastasiia Puzyrina, MA
I’m Anastasiia Puzyrina — a professional counsellor with over 15 years of clinical experience supporting people through emotional disconnection, relationship complexity, identity transitions, and internal tension.
My work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief:
you don’t need to be “fixed.” You need to be met.
I offer a therapeutic space where your story is not pathologized — it’s listened to, understood, and gently unfolded. A space where you’re not rushed toward solutions, but invited to reflect, feel, and discover new ways of being in relationship with yourself and others.
What I Bring to Our Work
I integrate evidence-based methods including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Trauma-informed care
Psychodynamic understanding
Existential reflection
This means we can work with both the surface and the depth:
your daily experience, and the quieter inner dynamics that shape it.
My therapeutic style is relational and respectful. I won’t offer generic advice or try to “motivate” you. I’ll help you make sense of what feels confusing or stuck, and support you in making choices that feel grounded in your truth, not in other people’s expectations.
A Cross-Cultural Lens
Before moving to Canada, I worked as a psychologist in Ukraine and have supported clients from diverse backgrounds, including Eastern European, Central Asian, and multicultural families. This cross-cultural lens helps me understand the silent pressures clients carry — family roles, unspoken obligations, loyalty to tradition, and the tension between inner needs and external expectations.
Who I Work With
- Individuals struggling with self-worth, anxiety, burnout, or emotional numbness
- Couples navigating emotional distance, repeated conflict, or life transitions
- Parents and teens caught in silence or emotional shutdown
- Families facing intergenerational or cultural disconnect
- Young adults feeling lost, overwhelmed, or uncertain about who they are
Credentials and Affiliations
I hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology with honours from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and bring over 15 years of clinical experience in both Ukraine and Canada. My continued professional development includes advanced training in:

Trauma-informed approaches
